VIRTUAL LABYRINTH SUMMER SCHOOL: SACRED GEOMETRY

Deepen your connection with and appreciation for sacred geometry and learn how it is interwoven into the design and experience of labyrinths.

Sacred Geometry is reflected in the patterns and proportions of the universe, our bodies and the labyrinth itself. Discover how stepping into a circle instills sacred space and tracing a meandering pathway evokes sacred time. Together we’ll explore how labyrinths combine the archetypal forms of a circle, spiral, and cross with switchbacks, meanders, and alternation to create a centering journey of intrinsic harmony and balance. We’ll study how sacred geometry is reflected in Classical, Medieval, and Contemporary Labyrinth designs and consider how to best reflect these principles in designing and building labyrinths. A slideshow of exemplary labyrinths from around the world will inform and inspire a discussion of the value and potential of sacred geometry for connecting to our inner and outer world.

This is the fourth course in a Virtual Labyrinth Summer School series led by Lars Howlett. He and special guest Nathan Wiles are Veriditas Faculty Members and Advanced Facilitators who specialize in labyrinth design and construction. The 5-hour workshop will be presented live on Zoom with a half-hour break and opportunity for questions, group chat, and connecting with other participants. A comprehensive digital workbook will be provided as a PDF and the unedited recording of the live session will be offered to participants for reference and review for one month. Attending the workshop live is encouraged, but not required, and participants will receive a link to the unedited recording for review up to one month after the workshop. Couples or friends joining in on taking the course should register separately.

Note: Unlike past Summer School offerings, this is not a drawing and construction course, though examples of techniques and installations will be discussed. Participants interested in viewing the three previous classes entitled For the Love of Classical, Chartres and Contemporary Labyrinths can enroll in individual classes or all three at a discount on Teachable: https://veriditas.teachable.com/p/for-the-love-of-classical-chartres-and-contemporary-labyrinths

NOTE: As a special bonus, anyone who registers for and attends all three sessions of our summer school course will receive a special code for 15% off one order in our online store.  The code will be emailed to you upon the conclusion of summer school and can be used on any items in our store, with no minimum required.  The one-time use discount code will be valid from the close of Summer School through September 15th, when our store closes to prepare for our upcoming annual online auction (beginning October 1st).  Find something wonderful with this special discount.
