World Labyrinth Day

World Labyrinth Day is an annual event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society as a worldwide action to “walk as one at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience.

13th Annual World Labyrinth Day

As May 1st World Labyrinth Day (WLD) approaches I sense a certain gravitas about this year. We are making labyrinth history with this year's firsts. The first time four well celebrated organizations are joining together in more purposeful ways to celebrate this day set aside to "Walk as One at 1:00" in your time zone. Hosted by The Labyrinth Society, and joined by Veriditas, Australian Labyrinth Network (ALN) and Legacy Labyrinth Project we seek to create anew the rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. The intention is to bring people from all over the planet together, to raise awareness, and promote healing, wholeness, and peace during an especially needed time in our pandemic weary world. First to see how big and meaningful this connection is for our world is the Legacy Labyrinth Project who presents the first of its kind research project for WLD called the BIG CONNECTION. See below for more details.

Won't you join us on March 20th 4 PM EDT for a Pre-World Labyrinth Day look at all the possibilities and ways to engage in this our twelfth annual world walk. Join link is to the right.

We have assembled a panel of warm-hearted and distinguished members from each of these fine organizations to bring the possibilities alive in you. They will share about Labyrinths in schools, research, outreach, covid safe events and more. Your invitation is below. This year we will be inviting facilitators and friends from Veriditas, ALN, Legacy Labyrinth Project, and our own TLS Energy Keepers to this Regional Rep meeting! This is another first in our history. Our assembly of labyrinth facilitators will be in the spirit of a family reunion as your host Carmel Stabley TLS Regional Rep Coordinator, TLS Board Member and WLD Steering Committee volunteer leads a lively panel discussion and Q&A. Come see your friends, be filled with insight and inspiration for your WLD plans!

World Labyrinth Day in Schools

30 April 2021 (Friday before WLD)

We encourage teachers and parents to explore labyrinths with children and teens as a creative activity, calming and centering space, and walking meditation. Labyrinths have been created and walked by people of all ages as a mindfulness activity, to focus, increase connectedness, calm anxiety, quieten head chatter and for mental/emotional wellbeing. Visit the Australian Labyrinth Network website for resources and join others around the world as we walk for peace.

Labyrinth Walkers & Finger Labyrinth Users Worldwide

What happens when people all around the world walk a labyrinth at the same time with the same intention?

On World Labyrinth Day, May 1, everyone around the world is invited to participate in an official research experiment for all of us to interconnect throughout the globe, receiving and sharing the wisdom of that experience.

This research project is conducted by The Legacy Labyrinth Project and Dr. Jocelyn McGee, researcher, Garland School of Social Work, Baylor University, in partnership with Veriditas, The Labyrinth Society and the Australian Labyrinth Network.
