A Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator Qualifying Workshop

“Maps invite us to locate ourselves in relation to whatever they show, to enter the labyrinth that is each map and to find our way out by grasping what is mapped.” ~ Rebecca Solnit

Our shared passage through this global pandemic in many ways followed the contours of a labyrinthine journey. Disorientation at the outset, mindful steps negotiating a shared winding path, holding space for others, sheltering in the center, and emerging in the New Year. In this two-day livestream video workshop, we’ll use the labyrinth as a map to reflect on the emotional seasons we’ve been through, integrate these experiences, and ascertain the potential to transform ourselves and our communities in 2021.

Through a guided finger labyrinth walk we’ll explore the journey from the inside out and utilize archetypal labyrinth designs as a framework to symbolize the emotional realms we’ve circumnavigated. There will be time for introspection and small group listening to share stories of hope and sadness, isolation and connection, grief and solace. Out of these conversations we’ll create personal labyrinthine maps with words and colors that reflect our emotive landscapes.By Millie Jackson

Your guides are advanced labyrinth facilitators Maggie Perrone (Genuine Journeys), a former emergency room nurse, and Lars Howlett (Discover Labyrinths), a professional labyrinth designer and builder. Maggie has been working on the front lines of the pandemic drawing from thirty years of experience teaching and healing those in difficult emotional, spiritual and physical situations. Lars creates, uses, and teaches labyrinth design for healing and transformation, helping to host and facilitate the weekly Veriditas handheld labyrinth walks during the pandemic.

Join us for a day of listening to our inner compass, using the labyrinth as a map to attend to where we are, and envision the hope and possibilities of this New Year. Set your sights on the horizon and choose to mindfully step out of this period of hibernation into the rising light of 2021.
