Dr. Lauren Artress. They will discuss how to experience Presence through the mindfulness practices of nature bathing and labyrinth meditation.

According to the ANFT: Forest Therapy, also known as Forest Bathing, is a relational practice that brings people into deeper intimacy with natural places. And one of those natural places is our natural self; it’s a practice that holds the possibility of meeting again the kernel of who we are, and what we are born to be and how we are intended to be of service in the world.

Biographies

Christine Favreau is a retired human resources professional with over twenty five years experience spanning various industries and now manages a wellness spa. Additionally, she is trained by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT) as a Guide for Nature Bathing. Christine trained with Lauren Artress and is a Veriditas Advanced Accredited Labyrinth Facilitator who loves to share time, space, and experiences through leading wellness workshops and participating in other engaging community events. Consistent with her passion for HR and wellness practices, Christine has a long-held interest in helping others move their lives, careers, and organizations forward. Christine served on the Veriditas Council, volunteered for many non-profit organizations and is currently developing and expanding on the family businesses. She is curiously creative with a propensity to cognitively explore the world and all it has to offer.

The Reverend Dr. Lauren Artress is the grandmother of the modern day Labyrinth movement and is the founder of Veriditas. In May of 2006, Lauren’s rediscovery of the labyrinth was honored by Grace Cathedral and she was designated Honorary Canon, a lifetime title.

She is the author of Walking a Sacred Path: Rediscovering the Labyrinth as a Spiritual Tool, The Sand Labyrinth Kit, and The Sacred Path Companion: A Guide to Walking the Labyrinth to Heal and Transform.  Her latest book, The Path of the Holy Fool: How the Labyrinth Ignites Our Visionary Powers was released in the fall of 2021.
