By popular demand, the Veriditas Student Labyrinth Guide Training offers a distilled version of our Facilitator Training with an emphasis on applications in Higher Education. In this pilot program, students will be introduced to labyrinth design and history centered on the archetypal designs of the Classical and Medieval Labyrinths. Students will share their experience with the labyrinth and discuss current and future opportunities for others to utilize the labyrinth(s) on campus. A handheld labyrinth finger walk will be included with the invitation to walk a full-size labyrinth in between sessions.

Student guides will help steward the labyrinth as a tool for stress reduction, mental health, and community building on campus, creating greater awareness of labyrinths and supporting open walks. Opportunities and examples for integrating the labyrinth into various school disciplines and events will be explored. The importance of preparing a labyrinth for events including signage, music, themes, decoration, readings, etc will be highlighted. Other topics include holding space, walking with intention, and managing the flow of the labyrinth during group walks.

A simplified digital version of our Facilitator Manual will be provided as a PDF download for reference including a wealth of handouts and resources. The training is offered on Zoom during two 2-hour sessions with a facilitated group walk or solo journey on campus over the weekend in-between sessions.  This Pilot Program is offered free of charge to the first three groups to host the training and participants will have the opportunity to apply for a full scholarship to attend a future Veriditas Facilitator Training program. The second pilot is being organized in February 2023 for the University of Central Oklahoma and is open to registration by invitation only.
