In this webinar you will learn how to honor the non-verbal expression of meaning felt in the labyrinth though sound and silence. Rev. Mutert will discuss how to use both recorded sound and live sound, creative ways to work with silence, and the voice of nature as tools to enhance labyrinth walks. She will also share tips on assessing the best approach to choosing music in different settings and situations.

Whether you are a current facilitator or new to the labyrinth you are sure to be inspired by her anecdotal stories and years of experience working with silence and sound on the labyrinth.

This webinar will be immediately followed by a 30-minute live call in program for VIA members to ask questions about this subject.

The Reverend Dr. Kay Mutert is a Master Teacher with Veriditas offering labyrinth workshops in awakening new creative energy, community building, and spiritual formation. As a Master Teacher she trains new facilitators and those wishing to renew their training.

Her work has included compositions and concerts for those affected by cancer and AIDS.

Kay holds an EdD from University of Alabama and MDiv from Candler School of Theology. Her published works include a set of her musical compositions, Songs for the Journey, a piano CD, The Joy of Two, with Karen Krekelberg. Her book Seasons of Change is a memoir of her year’s transition into pastoral ministry while living in the midlands of England. Rev.
