You must give birth to your images; they are your future waiting to be born. Fear not the uneasiness you feel. You future must enter you long before it happens. Just wait for the birth. ~Rilke
It is no secret that we live during an unsettling time: an age of technology, Quantum Physics and apocalyptic tremors that are frightening people. Our times have been called The Great Turning or The Great Awakening. Chartres Cathedral, with it's artful wisdom offers us images that can help us move through these challenging times.
From the dust of the old rises new answers. The labyrinth is one of these archetypal forms as well as the Green Man, Mary Madelene, the Holy Fool and more. We will utilize these archetypal images to strengthen our connection to ourselves, our communities and our ailing world.
Through lecture, discussions, a small group process, walking the labyrinth and having leisure time in this extraordinary Cathedral, and beautiful medieval village—we will nourish our inner world, clarify our purpose in life and renew our commitment to be active participants in the unfolding mystery.
Pilgrimage begins on Monday, September 12th at 4:00 pm registration and will end on Friday, September 16th with a celebratory closing dinner. A tour of the Cathedral and a special experience in the Crypt bookend our private candlelit labyrinth walk with medieval music accompaniment from the Fulberg Ensemble.
This is our first Walking A Sacred Path on the soon to be uncovered labyrinth and newly renovated Cathedral. If you’ve been in the past, consider joining us for an experience of renewal! If you are new to Chartres or Veriditas, it’s a perfect time to join us.
Registration Costs: Early Bird $1199; after August 1 $1399.
